
YULIA PROTSYSHYN - BIO / CV
Ukrainian visual artist focuses on figurative, structure and geometry. Her practice involves drawing, printmaking, painting and art books. She explores themes of science and philosophy. Yulia started developing as an artist at the age of 14. In 2003 went to the Boichuk Art School in Ternopil, Ukraine. As a teenager, she won six Ukrainian Art competitions and received eight distinctions in Art creativity. Apart from the Art School she also attended a year course of private lessons in academic drawing and painting with teacher, artist and printmaker Igor Zilinko who formulated her basic professional skills. Since 2011 her teacher Sergiy Ivanov significantly impacted her mindset and the development of her art direction.

2012 – MFA with honors in ''Fine Arts and Graphics'', Ukrainian Academy of Printing, Lviv, Ukraine. (under the mentorship of Assoc. Prof. Sergiy Ivanov).
2020 – 6 months fellowship in the Graphic Department at the E. Geppert Academy of Art, Wroclaw, Poland. (under the mentorship of Prof. Przemysław Tyszkiewicz)
Work experience:
2009 – 2016 –worked as a designer and illustrator for leading Ukrainian and international companies and publishing houses.
2016 – 2019 Assistant of composition and printmaking at the Department of Book Graphics and Printmaking at the Ukrainian Academy of Printing in Lviv.
2019 – 08/2022 – Senior lecturer of composition and printmaking at the Department of Book Graphics and Printmaking at the Ukrainian Academy of Printing in Lviv, Ukraine
